If you’ve already trimmed your video on the timeline, but want to change which part of the video actually plays, you’ll want to use the Slip tool.
Using the slip tool in HitFilm is super easy!
- Select the tool from the left-hand side of the timeline. The icon is a double-ended arrow between two vertical lines.
- Click and drag in the middle of your clip.
- The Viewer will update to show you the new start and end frames, but the clip itself won’t move on the timeline so that your edit points stay the same.
