I can't seem to find if there's an option to import images as any of the two.It looks like HF only accepts unmultiply renders or else a black fringe is very visible when I import premultiplied renders.
Bumping. Any way to set this option within hf?
I'd love to help but I don't know what those two terms mean in imaging terms
This might help.
Its related to transparency and alpha channels from images and renders.
ok thanks. I thinbk you need either @SimonKJones or maybe @AxelWilkinson in on this one
If you import a 32-bit image (ie, so it has an alpha channel), you can adjust how the alpha is treated by going into the asset's properties from the Media panel. Untick the 'from file' option, then you can choose Straight or Premultiplied.
Hope this helps!
Thanks! The render doesn't have the black fringe anymore! I did a search on the documentation for the word premultiply and nothing came up.
