I'm trying to make a vortex, it's not working, the particles are not showing up as normal, the camera cannot stable itself to follow the vortex, I need a better and updated video of this as it doesn't seem to work.
I have followed that tutorial and it all works as shown except for one thing.
Atomic particles changed in Hitfilm 3. The number of particles was set to 500, 1, 1 for the example in Hitfilm 2. In V3 and later you must use 2 particles for the Y dimension. It will not look exactly the same but the result will be similar.
I was told Atomic Particles had a lot of changes from V2 to V3 and that "The particles do now have a center point and wrap around this point." and this is why the value of 1, for Y, stopped working as it did in V2.
Here is the original thread.
My problem is that the Entire parts of the particle simulator are not working, i follow all the steps correctly.
FWIW the time tunnel as created in the above video is a preset in later versions of Hitfilm. If you type "Time Tunnel" into the search field at the top of the effect's list it will come up. You can just drag and drop it to a new layer.
If the preset is working, then the particle sim is working and you made an error somewhere in your setup (I've just tried this myself and it come up fine). If you drag the preset in and it's NOT working, then something odd may be going on with your Hitfilm, in which case, uninstall and re-install Hitfilm and double-check that your GPU drivers are current.
Incidentally, @NxVisualStudio has a series on more advanced Time Vortecies.
So, I've done the trapvortex texture but while changing it to 280, It does this. I Haven't done a error i've followed everything correctly so it's no error.
I haven't Applied no camera motion to it.
I'm following a tutorial by Tony Cee, I made it 2 instead of 1 because of hitfilm changing.
I merged your threads because this is the same discussion.
What did you set to 280?
The Start Frame.
