  • @ChristiNorris How are you getting your videos out of your iPhone? I tried using the finder when the phone is plugged in, copied the file from the phone to the computer and then I could import it in HitFilm. As above, could you please copy here the…
  •  Yes, as I write this (current version of HitFilm is 7.1), HitFilm proxies are full resolution renders. As @Triem23 wrote above, it is very useful for heavy comps as it removes the need to render it again. We want to add the more traditional "low r…
  • There shouldn't be anything limiting the number of layers in a comp. This is true for both Pro and Express. HitFilm might get very slow if the project is too heavy for the machine however it won't prevent you to add another plane, text layer etc... …
  • @spaghety There is no limit regarding the number of layers in a composite shot. What made you think that?
  • @Juda1 Officially HitFilm Pro only supports Vegas 15 integration. We haven't done any testing with any other versions but if you can get it working, there's nothing in HitFilm's code that should prevent it from working.
  • Yes, HitFilm needs to be installed after Vegas for the HitFilm/Vegas integration to be installed.
  • @Chalky64 Thank you for investigating. I've logged this internally to fix it in the future.
  • @jacekbrzezowski If the free version of Resolve supports OpenFX plugins (I can't remember on top of my head), you can install Ignite Express for free and use the "Action Cam Lens Distort" effect to remove the distortion directly inside Resolve. This…
  • @Chalky64 Thanks, 7.1 was all I needed. I had read the post a bit too quickly and missed the bit where you said you were running the latest version. We will have a look at this again in the future, sorry about the inconvenience. EDIT: We are having…
  •  @Chalky64 What version of HitFilm are you using?
  • @Andy001z If you could send us your project with your image, that would be very helpful. I tried to reproduce quickly but couldn't make HitFilm crash.
  • @cjdenio You can download various media toolkits on this page: https://hitfilm.com/contact
  • @JKoller  @Hydrurga unfortunately Windows 7 is not supported anymore for Ignite Pro. The plugins load correctly on Windows 8 and 10. We will investigate if this can be solved in the future. Sorry about the inconvenience.
  • @gringolatino64 I've just tried importing a video from an iPhone X and it works on both Mac and Windows (providing you have QuickTime installed for Windows). Could you install MediaInfo and copy here the text output like PhilTanny has done above? T…
  • @HitFilmer213312 It looks like your QuickTime installation has corrupted. Could you please uninstall QuickTime completely, download it again from Apple's website, install it and then restart your computer?
  • @Triem23 have you upgraded your Windows installation? You may have tried this already but you may want to manually uninstall the graphics drivers and install the latest ones from nvidia (you've still got a 980m, right?). Even if the installer file i…
  • @Nikoroo I'm sorry you are experiencing issues with the software. Are the files empty (0 bytes) or not? If they are then it indicates a potential hard drive failure. If not then we may be able to salvage them if you contact support. There is no guar…
  •  @whakan Could you please contact support if you haven't done so already?
  • @PhilTanny Thanks for your feedback. A better question IMHO would be what exactly in the software is complicated for new users and how you think it could be improved. You've already mentioned the "levels" system where HitFilm would hide some of the…
  • @NormanPCN I'll have a look at what's happening but quickly looking at the video in HitFilm I could see that it was not playing back properly.
  • @ZachAlan_Productions That is strange, I've never seen HitFilm behave that erratically when loading sound. Is it an issue specific to your project or something you can reproduce in a new project as well? Would you be able to send us your project and…
  • @JesusSheep Would you be able to contact support and provide your project and media so that we can try to reproduce the crash here? Unfortunately the crash report you sent doesn't say much apart from the fact that it crashed in the Mocha HitFilm plu…
  • @Audiocave2 for what it's worth, you can adjust audio settings in the audio mixer panel and the playback won't stop. Stopping playback was a deliberate design decision to prevent any issues (eg the user deletes a layer while HitFilm is rendering). …
  • @matty_winter17 what account are you using for HitFilm? You don't seem to have any licenses for your account. Please make sure you have the latest drivers installed and contact support for further assistance.
  • @HeavenThunder The video below should help. Let us know if you still have trouble exporting. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YvDEcaXjSN0

  • @Clem84 May I ask what footage you are using? If you could post the output of MediaInfo here that would be helpful. It sounds like transcoding your footage is your best workaround for now. Sorry about the inconvenience.
  • @MarioKluser the last update (7.1) was a critical bug fix update for BCC demo mode issue, so it contained only that fix. The bug you are talking about is still scheduled for next update.
  • @JoshuaBowers I'm sorry to hear this. It seems to me that any software these days, however badly coded, should not be physically able to kill hardware like a graphics card. It may have been a coincidence that you were running HitFilm when this happe…
  • @Stargazer54 it is logged and has a high priority however it's not been looked at since it's been confirmed a month ago. In general, bugs should not be added to the whishlist, they should be fixed. If they're not, you should remind us that they are…
  • @Palacono ah, I see. The issue here I think is that HitFilm doesn't read the EXIF metadata and that the footage is the wrong way up in Trimmer and Media panels. If we added support for this then the Vertical video effect would work as expected. The…
