just got hf express and it won't install on my Mac because of the gatekeeper. Just wasted an hour of my life downloading it, going to Facebook to rave and then getting nowhere. Wont load because not an apple approved developer.
Do what it says and change your security preferences.
Now if you go to security preferances the choice is no longer here. There are only two choice, apple apps and apple approved apps
Sorry you're having trouble with the software. This should not happen as HitFilm is a fully signed Apple registered developer application.
You can workaround this by right clicking on the application icon and choosing 'Open'; you'll get the same warning message, but this time it will contain an additional button to proceed.
Once the application has launched, you will never see the warning again.
@Dauphin23 - For future reference.In Security & Privacy settings look for a padlock icon in the lower left corner of the window. Click this to unlock it. Then you can select the radio button "Anywhere".Allow apps downloaded from: - Mac App Store - Mac App Store and Identified developers - Anywhere
After you've installed the App in question change the radio button back to "Mac App Store and identified developers" and then re-lock the padlock
