Dragon (3d model and animations)

Hi all, my name is Imran & I made this animation as my first proper animation with 3d models and a simple background scene I created totally in hitfilm. Please take the time and comment what you think.

  • @imyimyimy786 A very stylized type animation and it works well for pure 2D type animation.  I especially like how you did the sun animation and for silhouette figure I thought I detected some flutter in the wings as he was flying toward it.  Very nice!

Like tddavis said, it's a very nicely done, very 2D stylized video. Great color choices, nice shot composition. Good glitch effects, too. Well done!

  • Thank you guys, loving the comments so far, it would be cool to make a short film out of the 3d model dragon no?.. I have done some scenes with real life footage too. But they are really short at the moment for viewing purposes.

    cheers.

  • if anyone is interested in reading my dragon movie script its here .. via dropbox

It's a five minute short, fantasy genre set in a modern era... Please read it and I am open to critique, comments and points of views.. The film is in production stage.

    cheers

Just for your reference I'm going to suggest you take the time to review this livestream. It discusses in detail some workflow procedures for dealing with models. It's long (a tutorial could cut a lot of dead space), but has a lot of good information.

This doesn't get into dealing with FBX or Alembic animation (I assume you use one of those for wing animation), but both the Hitfilm and Film Sensei YouTube channels have tutorials on ABC/FBX/Mixamo work if needed.

  • @triem23 will check it out.. Thanks!
