While I've always been on board with Ray Tracing as inevitable part of our future, I didn't think I'd ever be happy about my 2080, it just felt like a big waste - compared to a 1080ti. But Control changed everything!
All the marketing nonsense about DLSS and Ray Tracing? Yeah, there was some truth to it, for once they actually make sense.
DLSS is implemented very well and the added realism that Ray Tracing adds is hard to explain. It isn't a simple "better reflections and lighting", is more like an extra layer of immersion that feels totally fresh.
I'm now actually looking forward to the next gen of GPUs.
