I really don't know what to do! The "track-button" simply disappeared...
Can you guys pls help me?
Which track button are you referring to? Can you show us a picture of what you are seeing?
Bear in mind the Tracker Controls don't appear until you've created a track on a layer.
In the Controls for the video layer you wish to track you'll have to go down to the Track controls and hit the "+" icon to add a tracker to the layer. Then, and only then, will the tracker panel activate.
If your Tracker Panel is missing, then at the top of the interface, look for the View > Workspaces Menu. From there you can toggle panels off and on.
@AxelWilkinson my guess is one of those two things will solve Stella's issue. If not, I assume the next step would be check drivers, uninstall/re-install, and, if that doesn't work, a support ticket?
I've been using hitfilm for a while and only just encountered this, but when working with composite shots I don't have an option for motion tracking. I don't know if it was moved somewhere else or if I'm just being dumb but I'm kind of stuck here... any help is appreciated!
For some reason, the website didn't want to work with my image correctly, so here's a dropbox link showing what I mean: https://www.dropbox.com/s/e7m55ano0g7vf5m/notrack.png?dl=0
Is it a picture? You can't motion track a picture.
Moderator note: Combined two threads as the issues seem similar.
@JavertValbarr I meant the "+" which is normally there. Here's a photo (from @DucksIncoming ):
My question still stands.
@JavertValbarr no I don't wanna track a picture
@JavertValbarr Oh wait. I found out that it's actually a masked video (with movements) but Hitfilm thinks that it's a photo...
It's a composite shot made up of photos, does that make a difference?
You can't motion track a composite shot, only videos.
Alright, thanks for the help
@DucksIncoming You might try exporting the composite into a video format with high or lossless quality, then re-import that into Hitfilm and track it.
