I believe this will be the last look at my Tron Sequence until I release the whole film at the end of the year (hopefully). Once again, it’s a bit broken and continuity is out a bit until my supporting actors give me their footage. Just wanted to have a slo-mo sequence for once.....and when I get the music inserted, it should be even better. Dang....just love this movie
This is fantastic. Love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love it, love it!
I do have an idea on how to derez the light cycle into bouncing blocks over several frames, but first I need to crack an egg of avoiding the step of "and now you frame by frame roto."
There's a trick to generate "cross section" models in Hitfilm. That same technique could derez the light cycle over several frames. The tricky part is match dissolve with the model. I have an idea, but it's currently is brute force and involves embedded comp shots and stuff.
Anyways, the spinning building on the left is modeled directly in the particle sim.
It's a pretty accurate build of this building.
And it's based on a test @NxVisualStudio did with an MRI set.
Wow...that’s gorgeous!! I actually do use the “Wireframe” effect a couple of times in my sequence to do the “person to light cycle transition” and back again (one of the many reasons I converted to Pro 12), but didn’t spend too much time on it, as the transition goes for about half a second.
As for the bouncing debris when that light cycle bites the dust (literally), I still may do this eventually. It was like midnight here when I finished the scene and I was too much to tweak it any further....lol. As you know, my PC barely has the power to run Pro 12, so it was a very slow render. In fact, I had to do about three renders in total. The background grid and walls were done first, then stuck it in the next composite with the cycle, disk, carrier etc. Followed by the lights, flares, dirt etc..... so when my mind takes a rest.....I’ll look into the bouncing debris thing
But that tower......mmmmmmmmm.......looks fantastic
Okay.....still filming my "Tron" sequence for my movie. This snippet includes footage that my friend halfway round the world in the USA sent me. I sent him some electronic storyboards, he set up his green screen and shot the footage, then sent it to me.....and ever so slowly am inserting it into my sequence. Still tweaking the colors, flares etc.....and will be enhancing the audio later. Great fun!
Wow!!! Yes! Can't wait to see it after your done. Looks awesome.
Wow looking very sweet. Love the camera work. The first person view from the bike felt spot on, well done. My fav moment was the shot of the lady in the bike you nailed the look of the screen.
Thanks guys! I must admit, it really is VFX heavy this scene. Especially when incorporating three actors (one from overseas) filmed in different months. Thankfully they're very enthusiastic. The rest of my film should be a breeze after this scene anyway
That is amazing. Nice collaboration and really cool how you guys are filming your scenes in different time zones.
Very impressive, bringing all those disparate elements together! Effects look great!
Well, you've seen most of it, so may as well reveal the whole thing. All the shots are in place and all the visuals are done (with some minor tweaks to go)......and the audio needs major work towards the end of the scene. Took four months......so now I can work on the rest of the movie....lol. Just to fill you in, this is one of five "fantasy sequences" that will be in it (all movie related fantasies).
Not perfect......but......I need a break from the VFX stuff. Time to concentrate of real locations
Time well spent. That's a pretty epic battle. Some seriously impressive shots in there.
I really like it.
2 thumbs up!
