I factory reset my computer and now Hitfilm wont stop crashing. It crashes when I import things, export, make composite shots, everything. Can anyone help?
1. This is the Imerge forum category. Completely different product from HitFilm. Tagging @Triem23 to move the thread to the proper category.
2. If you did a factory reset, my gut says you will probably need to uninstall HitFilm, then reinstall it. Resetting your system tweaks internal system settings and data, so what was set up when HitFilm was installed is now un-done, essentially making it an incomplete installation.
I've already done this multiple times, along with trying older versions of Hitfilm. Neither stopped the crashes.
What are your system specs? OS, CPU, GPU, RAM, and free hard drive space.
Windows 10,Intel Core i7-4710HQ @ 2.5 GHz
16 GB DDR4 RAM
Nvidia g-force 860m Graphics Processor
333 GB of free space on HD
By any chance is it either a Dell or Alienware system? If so, check out this page for info on a possible solution:
No. It's an ASUS product.
Hmmm. Your best bet at this point might be to contact support (most folks in this forum — including mods — aren't staff, just other users who try to help)
