Export Error

When I try to export, I get the error "Could not launch client process."

Does anyone know what this means and how to fix it?

(I am trying to export a twelve minute shortfilm.)

    Let's start with your system specs. CPU, GPU, OS, RAM and storage? Are your GPU drivers current? (If you are on Windows 10 and updated your OS more recently than your drivers, the answer is no. Recent Windows updates have been reverting drivers). What Antivirus are you running?

    CPU - 3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo

    GPU - NVIDIA GeForce 9400 256 MB

    OS -  OS X 10.9.5

    RAM - 16 GB

    Storage - 52 GB

    No antivirus.

    Hitfilm requires a minimum i3 processor. The Core 2 Duo is the tier under that. 

    Hitfilm requires a GPU with at least 512MB RAM, yours has 256.

    Unfortunately you are under minimum specifications to run Hitfilm.

  • I just exported it to an external hard drive with 3 terabytes free and it's working fine...

    Well... Sometimes with Hitfilm you'll get lucky and get a successful export even when under spec! I'm glad you got your film to disc. :-)
