How can I make the Lightspeed "tunnel" from Star Wars in HitFilm 2017 Pro? Any advices, tips or tutorials
Should look like the pictures above
Check out the Hyperdrive effect
@Aladdin4d the Hyperdrive effect does star streaks. The Hyperspace "tunnel" would be done using techniques similar to a "Doctor Who" time vortex.

These tutorials will show some good methods to set up the particle sim. However, the "Star Wars" tunnel in Hitfilm 1977 was a slit-scan effect, so the best tutorials will be these from Nx Visual Studio:
"...the "Star Wars" tunnel in Hitfilm 1977..."
Hitfilm 1977? I didn't realise HitFilm went back that far hehe
Hitfilm Pro 2017 has a built in effect that looks very close to this. It can be found under Presets --> 3D Effects --> Particle Simulator --> Time Tunnel (or just search for "time tunnel"). I am sure that it could be tweaked to look more like the Star Wars version. I used this in a project last year (in HF4Pro).
@HitfilmSensei I think that Time Tunnel preset is in Hitfilm 3 and 4 as well, since it's the Time Tunnel Axel built in the above linked tutorial.
Here is a hyperspace tunnel effect I made in Hitfilm Pro 2017. It still needs to be tweaked, but what do you think? It uses the method in the tutorial above by Tony Cee: Trapcode particular vortex tutorial...
@MalikPTzold - The first image you referenced is made with Mir. I'm currently learning from the 4 part tutorial on that exact vortex. It' a reversed Vortex....exit shot. You can also create a Vortex with a torrid model pretty easy.I made these a few months back (one in AE the other in HF 4)https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yje8O2JZbNofrom the techniques used in this vidhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6yr9yRivHo0&list=PLYq2jLHaqtx-OYqlXTUXTVPiA58Wsg7VH&index=35
@ZCC_Productions looking good! A Star Wars tunnel is a bit finer detailed, but I think that's just a little tweaking of particle speed and your source texture so the tunnel textures end up a bit tighter together. But you're at 95% dead-on with that version.
@GrayMotion I'd forgotten about your 3D model tunnel, but that's another good way to go about it!
@Triem23 Here is another version I did. It uses a completely different method for the texture, but the tunnel particle simulator is the same technique. Further tweaking could be done with the different glow effects and such, but what do you think?
Also sorry if the Youtube quality is bad for you. It is for me right now but it says HD...
@ZCC_Productions. That looks really good! And pretty darn close.
If I tweak it for another week it could look even better!
@ZCC_PRODUCTIONS looking great. Like you said, more tweaking could improve it a bit, but, I think it's close enough to leave alone if you wanted to move on. I think it's time to add a spaceship in there and see how the final composition looks.
Thanks @Triem23 , @ZCC_Productions and everyone else! You were a great help for me!
