Compatibility
Available for Mac and Windows. 64-bit only. May not be compatible with the latest operating systems or hardware.
Due to an external change, online activation and the Home Screen are now unavailable on Windows. “Offline” activation is not affected, so you can continue using your software.
Minimum system requirements
Mac:
- OS X 10.7 Lion, OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion, or OS X 10.9 Mavericks
- 64-bit operating system
- Processor: Dual-core Intel Core i3, Core i5 or Core i7
- RAM: 4GB
- Graphics card with at least 512 MB video memory
- Screen resolution: 1024 x 768
- Hard disk space: 300MB free disk space for program installation
- Internet connection: Required for online activation and FXhome web services
Windows:
- Windows Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 8
- 64-bit operating system
- Processor: 1.4 GHz Intel Pentium 4 or AMD Athlon 64
- RAM: 2GB
- Graphics card: Intel HD 3000, NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GT or AMD/ATI Radeon HD 2900 GT with at least 512 MB video memory and support for OpenGL 2.0.
- Screen resolution: 1024 x 768 in 32-bit color mode
- Hard disk space: 300MB free disk space for program installation
- Internet connection: Required for online activation and FXhome web services

HitFilm 2 Express is an older version of HitFilm, which is no longer in active development and may not be supported by the latest operating systems and computers.
The latest versions of our products are fully supported and include powerful new features and major improvements, testing and updates to ensure compatibility with modern operating systems.
