St. Elmo's fire is a glowing cloud of ionized plasma, caused by a high voltage in the air between two charged objects. Often seen during thunderstorms, this phenomenon appears on ship masts, church steeples and television arials. It is also an interesting effect to apply to someone that has been hit by an electrical weapon or other charge. |
