I seem to be having trouble uploading a clip to add effects to. Every time I click on the clip and enter open, the screen returns me to the blank black screen without uploading my video. Is there a solution or glitch?

Hmmmm...If you're video is not in .avi or .mov codec you might encounter some issues.

I am assuming you are using the demo, that is strange. Did you select blank timeline instead of select movie

To clarify Storm Grenade's comment, which was on the right track...

.avi and .mov are formats, not codecs. There are many, many codecs supported within each of those formats. But if your movie file has a suffix other than .mov or .avi, EffectsLab will not import it.

If it is already in .mov or .avi format, but still won't open, then the codec issue may come into play.
