Today FXhome's resident product guru Simon 'Tarn' Jones hits the grand old age of 29!

Along with being one of the most popular and active members on the forum, Simon acts as both the face and voice of FXhome. Currently he is hard at work completing a new tutorial product for Christmas, but he did manage to spare a few minutes to celebrate this special day with the rest of the team. Along with a tasty slice of Guinness cake, he took the time to partake in what is quickly becoming an FXhome tradition – blowing out candles stuffed in to a random piece of fruit.

I’m sure many of you would like to join us in celebrating this momentous day and wish Tarn a very happy birthday.

Thanks guys!

Hendo and his developer team were particularly generous, as they let me, Josh and Lucy completely thrash them at Left 4 Dead this lunchtime. They only got 4 metres out of the safe room door before we took them down.

An unnecessary birthday bonus guys, but thanks!

Having a stack of 360s in the office for lunchtime L4D play would be a bit too decadent even for us.

Heh, we do have an Xbox360 in a box in a cupboard somewhere. We used it once but stuck with the PS3 and our PCs.

Happy Birthday indeed!

I shall hope to play you at some L4D 2 demo gaming a bit later perhaps?
Hope the day was a godly one!

A FPS on a console? That's crazy!
