This November we're launching the new PhotoKey family, including PhotoKey 3 and PhotoKey 3 Pro. Over the next few days we'll be releasing snippets of information to whet your appetite in advance of the release.

To start with, let's take a quick look at the enhanced PhotoKey interface. We've had a lot of positive feedback about PhotoKey 2's simplicity and general ease-of-use, so we didn't want to reinvent the wheel unnecessarily. However, there were definite areas that could benefit from improvement, not least the Position section.

Users of PhotoKey 1 and PhotoKey 2 will be pleased to hear that PhotoKey 3 now features positioning of your layers directly on the canvas, enabling you to move, rotate and scale them by dragging with the mouse. That means no more fiddling with sliders in the toolbox - unless you want to, of course, as the precision controls are still there (with a few extra enhancements of their own).

Here's a preview of the new position tools:

Pricing is hugely important to anybody considering new software. We're launching the new PhotoKey family with a Holiday Season Discount, which means the prices look like this:

ProductHoliday Season Price
PhotoKey 3$109.95 (normal price $149)
PhotoKey 3 Pro$219.95 (normal price $299)

Upgrade discounts will be available to all current PhotoKey 1, PhotoKey 2 and PhotoKey 2 Pro users.

In the next sneak peek we'll take a look at some more of the new improvements, so stay tuned...

can;t wait till i can test it.

Hopefully a release / upgrade in the beginning of november? Got a event the 7th of novemeber and would love to test it here.

It will be a event of 5 hours and photographing about 4000 people

Would it be possible to also test the beta version here? So we can test if this version is capable of handling such large amounts of photos in a short time period.

This sounds exciting! The MAIN feature I hope to see soon, is being able to tether the camera directly into the software. It takes a lot longer to shoot, capture, and then key. Having shots load directly into Photokey would rock!

When can we expect Photokey 3 to be released! I have a shoot soon and this would be awesome. Where can we get a spec sheet of the new features?

Congratulations FxHome Team! PhotoKey 3 Pro looks to be exactly the upgrade to finally add a strong value to many pro's workflows including mine. Only one thing of confusion for me is that I do not see an upgrade path for those of us who stayed with Version 1 and now finally see the worth improvements that come inline with what we where hoping for. So in other words, I waited when version 2 came out as it still was not enough to make me want to upgrade, however I believe your latest version 3 is just right on time. Now just wonder if there will be no option for us Version 1 kids who didn't actually jump to 2 and just wish to actually come on up to your new PhotoKey 3 Pro?

If you go to the PhotoKey 3 page and click on the Upgrade options button, it will give you the upgrade pricing for owners of version 1.

Thanks a bunch! I just finally figured that out and was about to come back here to tell anyone with the same question exactly where to go. I appreciate you providing me the links in your post. Gonna give the demo a whirl to see how it get's along with my other pro ware's and looks like I may have to upgrade this time around:-) Looks awesome!!
