H.G. Wells' War of the Worlds-PART 1 Prologue (2009)

This prologue/teaser is the first part of what eventually will become a feature version of H.G. Well's classic novel. Updated and relocated to America, but yet following the outline and spirit of the original novel- with a subtle nod to the science fiction films of the 1950's.

How did you get steven hawkins to do the V/O.
It was a bit stuttery, Looking forward to see where you go with this. Really liked the Mars scenes, looked just like the shots from the mars rovers.
Am I the only one who, after "slowly and surely they drew their plans against us" was waiting for the, dan dan dah, dah da dah, dah da dah, dan dan dah.

Thank you both for taking the time to view my video. I am very excited to be included amongst such talent- perhaps humbled would be a better word because I don't think that my entry comes near to the other entries that this great community of talent has produced. I am presently working on part 2- model building- and am striving to make it more visually exciting and action oriented than part 1 (which was after all strickly narrative). And Mike Q, I couldn't agree with you more- when I heard another version that used Richard Burton- well, I knew it was all over. I hope more of you will take a look and leave comments, because that is what videomaking and the sharing of love of films is all about.
Gratefully,

Looking nice, well done. One spelling error is H. G. Wells there shouldn't be an ' before the s as his name is Wells.

SA74,
Thank you so much for taking the time to view and comment on my video. Part 1 has now become part 2- (Part 1 is the prologue now, and part 2 will be "The Coming of the Martians"). I'm pulling a "George Lucas" when it comes to the episode numbering. Anyhow, the work is still in progress (I work on it evenings and weekends), but I have a sneak peek with scenes from part 2 coming out shortly. Thank you again, and much luck in your videomaking.

It's great to see more of this cool production.
I love your style of filmaking it's modern yet has a feel of the past
days of Saturday morning "B" movies I loved to go to.....perhaps it's my age.....hehe.
You are doing excellent work and you have reminded me to put more effort into watching and commenting on other peoples work as I've been lacking in that dept.

Lets see more of this movie please.

Dave
