Alright, I'm really in a tough spot on rating this one, so I'll just give you my look on it now. First off, well done. The camera angles weren't to shabby, and it looked pretty well planned. Good props, good blood splatter. I only saw one or two continuity errors, but that's about it. However, there were some problems I had with it. First of all, the plot wasn't very original: Guy escapes by shooting enemies. I would have liked more lead in with the guy, especially how it starts off with him freeing himself in a matter of seconds. The story, even though simple, was not as clearly as conveyed as it could have been. Now I have a suggestion. For me what would have really helped was a filter, to both make the gunshots and smoke blend better into the movie, and give it a unique feel. You liked the color? Great, just add the 'basic' filter to polish things up a bit. Hope you take this into account on your next film. Good job!

Oh, on a side note, what does the large image have anything to do with the movie?

I pretty much echo TSHADproduction's sentiments. I liked this for the most part, but felt as if a few bits were missing. Pacing, for one thing, I felt was an issue. Here you really have a decently large amount of production value - bravo! - but the film is paced so that it is more boring to watch in places that we should be marveling at how much time and work you put into it.

That being said, it was a good film. I wouldn't call it 5 material, but close to 4, definitely. I gave it a 3 because I think there's definite room for improvement, for the aforementioned reasons, and I wasn't a complete fan of all the acting.

Still, great stuff!

Guys thats so much for the feed back - it was our first film so, agreed, we had some errors and plenty of work to be done. We've taken on board all the commnets though and hope our next outing will be better. Its a shame as I can get FXhome to post the first half!

Hopefully the story line is better explained when the two parts are watched back to back. I am trying to get the first bit on FXhome site but in the meantime these are the youtube links to both parts:-

Thanks agin chaps!!

I like your physical effects, props and locations on both parts. Your camerawork was pretty good, and I like the fact that you use cutaway shots.

As for the digital effects, they could use some work across the board. Play with the settings a little more and try to blend the effects in better. You did use the right effects in the right places. You even used some subtleties that most people would miss. They just all need some tweaks. This movie seems like a 75% finished animatic.

FXhome products are decent out of the box, but the point is to push them and trim them to fit your movie. I hope to see you put that extra TLC into it and forge this into a master work.
