NightCast is a full feature length swiss independent B-Movie, the first of it's kind. Produced without any financial support over the course of 4 years. It's a trashy superhero homage to 90s B-Movies. Hope you enjoy!

This is the complete film in it's english dubbed version with a short introduction by the director, me.

Thanks to all the fxhomers who were part of this project:

Hybrid-Halo (actor and 3D artist)
Er-No (actor and voiceactor dub)
Arktic (actor)
Schwar (matte artist)
Tarn (voiceactor dub)
Garrison (voiceactor dub)
GreyBro (voiceactor dub)
Redhawksrymmer (voiceactor dub)
Fallen (voiceactor dub)

This is so worth to see again just to spot Redhawks swedish accent!

Nice to see you've decided to put it online for the FXhome crowd, applauds for that!

Cheers

I'm not sure if it’s just the flv version (or my computer), but the dubbing seems off slightly. I would have to say the German version with subtitles is far better, lots more emotion in the actors own voices.

I would definitely advise getting the DVD, the making of featurettes are very informative and well worth the money.

It was really great. Everything was better than I could have expected. Except for the duel at the end. It seemed just a bit, bored? There was a lot of grunting and groaning, but no howls of hatred like you would expect from two arch-enemies, and the fighting was a bit slow. Also, I think the mature themes should have given it a higher rating. For this last reason, I'm giving it a 4/5. Otherwise, 5/5.

Heh, glad you enjoy it.

Yeah, getting the dub was an incredibly difficult task. Most voiceactors did their voices over the internet and obviously, dubs will never match with the lips - hence I'd always go with the original language version of any film myself. But I thought, why not add the dub so the younger audience wouldn't have to watch a film through with subtitles.
(on the DVD you will find the german original version with english subtitles)

Why specifically the younger audience? I'm not sure I follow you.

Because the younger (pre-adolescent) brain is less developed to handle the multi-task of reading and still being able to cohesively watch what is going on, simultaneously.

And Marco, I'm still loading this, when it's done I'll absolutely give it a watch and get back to you!

Ah. Really? What do you consider pre-adolescent?

I can read multi-task as well as anybody!

By the way Sollthar, what did you use for the scene where NightCast hurls that guard onto the table? It looked like a dummy.

That was actually one of the 3D computer generated doubles (in Cinema 4D).

What I meant was, younger people might not read as quickly or experienced, hence I figured I put the dub online. No insult intended.

Btw, I'm not responsible for the rating. The film was rated that in it's DVD release by the SUISA, the offical rater and I just copied it. I find it amusing the rating affects a vote on the film. Not that I mind, I just had to smile.

I can barely remember doing the dub work on this. I haven't had time to watch this version yet, but I'm cringing in anticipation of my voice appearing. I hope it isn't too incongruous.

Great to see this movie online for all to see - and hopefully it'll spur some people to buy the DVD. As Marco says in his introduction, the DVD has utterly AWESOME extra features, and is a great learning opportunity for upcoming filmmakers.
