The first minutes, during the opening credits, I thought to myself "Oh, this is could be really good!". The closeup shots of the clock are nicely shot, nicely framed, good feel for colors and light and just using the ticking of the clock was good sounddesign. But then it goes downhill.
First off, the music that tunes in when the guy wakes up is an unbeatable contestant for this years worst music choice award. Firstly, it's a terrible tune, secondly, it has no musical connection whatsoever to what happens visually, thirdly, it is a complete break with the intro sounddesign, and... it's a terrible tune. I have no idea what made you chose this.
As mentioned before, the sense for decoupage is not there yet. Some entirely unnecessary stuff seems to take ages (what's up with showing 12 shots of the guy coughing on the floor?)
The dialogue and acting on the other hand, as mentioned also, is pretty cool. I liked what you did there. There's the typical age problem again, but apart from that, this is the most solid part of the production.
The knife shot was also very cool! I liked that. Too slow, as the rest of the film generally, but indeed highly cool.
The film really suffers most from weird decoupage, some odd "artistic decisions" and some less then solid technicals.
It's a solid 3 for me that could have been a 4 or even a 5 if it wasn't for the the negative points I've already meentioned. You've got talent, but you really need to check every editing and sound decision you make and decide if there's actually a reasoning for it. And then check if it's a GOOD one.
Good luck on your next film.
