The Blankety Blank Movie Contest #2

People seemed to have fun with nanafanboy's "Blankety Blank Movie Contest" a while back, so I have decided to "resurrect" the contest in the form of Blankety Blank Contest #2.

Rules:

1. The film must be of the blank genre

2. The film must contain a blank as a prop

3. The line blank must be uttered at least once during the film

4. The film must be under 30 minutes in length

5. All contestants must agree to give 10 force to the winner

6. There must be 5 contestants by November 14 to begin

7. Films must be submitted by December 1

8. The winner will be decided by a vote held on the first week of December.

To further explain, the blanks in red are certain aspects of the film that are yet to be decided. The fun part is that the contestants (and only the contestants) will determine the blanks.

Once you have joined the contest by posting "I'm in" on this thread, you may PM me a blank that you would like to fill in, be it the prop, genre or line. Once all of the blanks have been filled in, contestants may start making their films.

I will be editing this post as blanks are filled in and as contestants join. PM me if you have any questions.

When you are finished with your film, please upload it in some sort of Quicktime format be it .mov, mp4, etc. Please provide me with a link to the film as well so I can add it to the separate voting thread. If you need somewhere free to host, you can PM an FXHomer who has a hosting place, or use www.archive.org.

Have fun everyone

NickD

CONTESTANTS:

King Rhymes

I'd rather know what the rules are before joining so I'll spectate this one gl to all who enters though.

I think contests are great, but maybe this could've been done maybe after chrimbo? Contests are fun and help bring this community together a little

What's wrong with contests? If the guy wants to have a contest then let him have a contest.

I've always wished this site had more contests, but I wish they were put on by the fxhome team. that way we wouldn't have anymore Hauntfest disasters

CONTEST IT UP MY FXHOMIE!!!

and, Sollathar... don't be a negative Nelly

Hehe, I'm not trying to be negative, nor diss good old nelly.

It's just my idea, that a contest should be something special. If we have contests all over the place, personally, I feel they lose their value. That's all.

I've always been for a big fxhome contest, maybe annual, with several cathegories etc and held in a cool manner. Something to look forward to and something the entire community could participate in.

But as said, loads of little contests held several times where only 3 or 4 people join in because they can't be bothered or the next contest will be held in 2 weeks does kind of defeat the idea of them being a big thing to look forward to and that means something.

These are my thoughts. If everyone's up for it, I'll in no way be the one to kill the party.

OK, I'll add King Rhymes to the list. I see no problem with the opinions of Sollthar, or nanafanboy and others. Each to his own

We'll see how it goes. I see contests as an opportunity to inspire people to make a specific film within a specific set of rules/requirements, and I think that's really fun.

Let's hope we get enough people

I think the best thing that could happen in terms of a competition would be for the head FXhome guys to give it a place on the front end of the site somewhere. Obviously they don't have to offer any prices or anything and it's just the force up for grabs, but I think they'd gather alot more attention if they were mentioned alot more because not everyone will check through the forums to catch a contest being held.

It's just a suggestion but I thought it might also be a possibility as its on behalf of the fxhome community and I can't see it doing any harm.
