I just need to post now since it's officially a nostalgia thread now.

Great work guys, that stuff is awesome. And thanks for using Vimeo, it's really underused for this sort of stuff.

Now where's Flip?

Nice to see you two are still working and I see you have a similar style, but with even more skill.

Cool looking lost-like trailer for Dark Island and very nice demo reel you have there. Will make sure to check everything out you did over the last 5 years. Still got your DVD in my shelf you know.

What in the hell is going on? It's like a giant AlamDV sign was projected into the sky and all you people showed up.

Hey, great to see you guys back! Nostalgia hits me as I remember the Deus Ex Machina days and the Fool Skool movies, which inspired me quite a lot to continue my filmmaking! Your new VFX reel looks really great, and Dark Island looks like it was a lot of fun to shoot - let me know where I can pick up a copy of that!

Great to see you're still working together too and to see you here again!

Crikey. So many luminaries in one topic? I'm not sure the server can take it. As sfb said, all we need now is Hajiku_Flip.

Really great to have you both back, Sidey and Mecha (and good to see you again Waser, don't be a stranger!). The Dark Island and VFX tests/reels are seriously impressive - can't wait to check out Greenside.

As you can see, things at FXhome have changed a fair bit in the last 5 years as well, although I like to think we're still keeping it CSB-style. The community's still here, with lots of new faces as well as the old veterans. We've also moved into photo software as of a couple of years back, which is working out pretty well for us - although we're working on some secret new video stuff too which is going to be entirely awesome.

Also, all you LA based legends (CX3 and AJ's crews and Corridor Digital) should absolutely team up to make the Ultimate Film.

Wow, you make quite an entrance! This post, and the replies, have made my year.

Mecha and Sidey, it's fantastic to have you back! I found myself wondering just the other day what you guy might be doing - having checking over your links all I can say is that I'm dumbstruck!

It has long been our hope that the FXhome community will play some small, but helpful, part in its members creative journey. I'm absolutely ecstatic to see that you, along with other FXhomers from the early days, are now living the dream. Of course you all deserve it with the hours of hard work you've put in, especially considering the ropey software you used to use.

Congratulations on your success and I hope to catch up with you soon. As Tarn said, we're working on some new bits and pieces which might interest you...

P.S. I second the idea that you should team up with the other LA based FXhome legends and make the Ultimate Film! Maybe we can provide some funding or, better still, some software.

P.P.S. WASER!!!

Edit: Hang on... Where are AverageJoe and Codec3?

MOD edit: Please don't double post, no matter how excited you are.

Great to see Mecha and Sidewinder back, I was worried for a moment that we were all forever banned from Niko's manor, forever denied another taste of electro love fusion.

So welcome back. Your stuff has always been crazy impressive, evolving with my critical standards to remain awesome. Your reel is also brain knife levels of rock. Good luck with your company and projects guys.

Welcome back dudes! Old-skool FXhome reunion party, anyone?

Not had a chance to check out your reel yet, but I'm sure it's pretty spiffing. Glad to hear you're both doing so well - but I think we were all pretty sure you'd be successful!

Cheers,
Arktic.
