Just thought I'd throw it out there that actually I built everything but the escape pods from scratch. Not trying to be a dick about it, just don't want to be misrepresented. Glad you guys like it.

Sorry for the confusion, I could only see the images on my phone so it was rather small. I had originally built the model in 3d, as you can see here:

I thought that they would be using my model in the film. What I didn't know is that they had multiple artists working on the same thing, and would use parts they thought would work best from each model.

Wow, this Fracture project caught my attention, and that 3d model looka really cool, straightforward and original look for a base. Looks like a real cool project, can't wait to see the completed product. good luck, on that and future projects

Looks great guys!
I was wondering if you still need help with the vfx? I sent in an email last summer but if you guys still need people to help with the effects, I'd love to help out. Anyway the film looks like it's coming out great. I hope to be able to watch it when its finished.

Hey Atom,

Our lead artist has given us a final date in which they're hoping to have everything finished. It's just shy of christmas. If that date stays true we are hoping to have the film ready earloy in the new year.

As I'm starting to get shots through I'll make sure some stills go up on the thread from the footage.

Come January we'll be looking for artists from the community to help promote the film including artwork creation for the dvd and posters. I should be getting more updates this week from everyone so I'll post those also.

Far from dead! It just has a lot of visual effects to get through. 70 plus!

The exported clips are around 500MB at full quality so I'm in the process of having them transfered to the ext Hard Drive ready for the edit.

I'm currently at work but when I get home tonight I'll post a couple up.

That's a promise.

Looking awesome guys. I really can't wait to see this. The effects look great. I was really impressed with the woman walking through the storm. This compositing on that, I thought, was great. Matte paintings look awesome too!

I have to say, from what I saw, that the music sounds really good. About how long do you think this will be?

(edit) I actually meant to put this post in the November update, sorry about that. I forgot I went over to august.

Hi not sure how this all works, Just found it from a link on my friends facebook. If you guys need any help with FX.... I can help guide your fx guys if you're working in maya.

Couple of things I could either help your FX guys make or send them a file to use, low lying fog for those intro shots. It really helps to sell scale, and adds some extra movement to bring the scene to life.

I have free video tutorials (on my site) for how to do rocket trails if those escape pods launch in shot.

You can look me up on IMDB if you want to know what I've worked on, or my sort of outdated reel is on my site too. But basically I'm not much help if you are not using MAYA for the FX. Since I'm swamped at work, I couldn't do any significant work in addition to that.

Anywhoo. Love what you're doing. Let me know if I can help.

Dave
