I've tried the animation codec, but not DV or TIFF yet, so I'll do that now and get back to you in a few. Should I select DV stream or a DV codec in quicktime?

When I say black I mean that there is no video showing up in the canvas window, although the file is shown in the timeline and plays in the viewer widow. I am using FCP HD 4.5 and Quicktime 7.0.4.
