  • noun: plaid chequered or tartan twilled cloth, typically made of wool. "a plaid shawl" a long piece of tartan worn over the shoulder as part of Scottish Highland dress. plural noun: plaids …
  • @Andersen01498 I'm assuming you got a set of keys and download instructions for all the addon packs, so download and install them, or contact Magix and ask them where they are?
  • OK, let me just put my detective hat on.... Right... I put it to you that it was in the library, with the lead pipe that you upgraded from the Humble Bundle version of VP 14 to VP 15 Pro, which includes the Boris Continuum Image Restoration pack fo…
  • @Andersen01498 not really. It depends what you are trying to do. If you want to make changes to a Hitfilm project and have them updated in Vegas, then yes, they both need to be open and you need to save the project file in Hitfilm for Vegas to notic…
  • Did you get the Vegas 14 Pro Edit bundle and get it to integrate by following Triem's instructions to reinstall Hitfilm after Vegas? If you did then it will also work with Vegas 15 Pro if/when you upgrade from VP 14 to VP15. As Cedric said above: …
  • a) The sale runs for another 7 days, and b) Yes.
  • @Juda1 It should work if you just install Hitfilm after Vegas Pro 14, as others have posted above. The HitFilm.fio2007-config file needs to be in the same folder as the Vegas executable and needs to point at the folder you have Hitfilm installed in.…
  • @Andersen01498 not using them, I can't say, but you can drag Hitfilm projects into Vegas and treat them like normal media. Also select a clip and send it to Hitfilm.
  • Wow, numbers doubled since yesterday. When I first posted it was 15,000+ and now it's 32,000 exactly (it was 31,955 and I waited about 1 minute and it clicked over) So, yes. Bumping this, because you should buy it. It'll make using Hitfilm so much …
  • Yes, even with a 75Mb fibre optic line it took a while (not that long, about an hour) for me too, but I guess they need to spread out their bandwidth when so many thousands will be grabbing it in a short period. Wait until you download all the res…
  • From the webpage: "The free version of DaVinci Resolve has all of the professional editing, legendary color correction and Fairlight audio tools you need for SD, HD and Ultra HD work at up to 60 frames per second. " Looks very interesting.
  • Nope. Link doesn't work. You need to host images elsewhere and just put the links here, or if it's a YouTube video: don't use the embed code, just post the link.
  • @ToddGraves  I meant they'd still be useless as a means of trying to match cuts to music without other ways of making Hitfilm run smoother, and/or slower for everything to remain in sync. For other things: Yeah, you can already do that, al…
  • The border actually goes both inwards and outwards. If you want outwards only, create a duplicate of the text with no border and use the Set Matte effect to cut out the centre of the bordered version, which will remove the inner border part.
  • I also wanted than for that, but even if you did have markers, Hitfilm plays so slowly and jerkily, without the option for RAM preview, or to change playback speed, that it wouldn't be any use anyway. I use Vegas Movie Studio, where you can do all t…
  • Shotcut does it. It's free and it also allows you to create Hitfilm-friendly clips for conforming iPhone etc. VFR clips in CFR ones. Probably useful for OBS files too.
  • Not sure the answer would help you. It's like asking "Which thumb do I hit with the hammer?" You can create a custom sized composite shot and drag what you like in there. No masking required. If it's too small or large you scale it. If in wrong pos…
  • Yeah, it sucks, but you can get part of the way there. Select 'pen' mode for the mask, then while holding down CTRL, click on the two points you want to move. Then move them together. Unfortunately you can't lock either the X or Y axis (by holdin…
  • The Spill Removal is known to futz with other colours that are close (or not even very...) to your key colour, so what you might need to do is create a duplicate of the layer, without the Spill Removal on it, above your keyed Layer. Just duplicate i…
  • Instead of this trickle of '360' versions of various effects with each release, can we have a "To 360" and "From 360" - or just one with a switch in it? - that can be applied to everything?
  • Well...not sure it's back as such. I've been semi-hacking it (actually just changing a line in a text file) since it stopped; so I've no idea which version of Hitfilm officially works with which version of Vegas.
  • You actually can change a clip back to a normal clip from a Hitfilm project. Choose replace clip and select the original clip again. I'm doing just that right now to speed up editing. Then replace it back to the Hitfilm project file again just befor…
  • I really wish you'd stop telling me what I think as an excuse not to respond with any meaningful answers of your own. But I get your shtick now, so I'm out.
  •  @PhilTanny You keep on posing (the same) questions as if you're the first to think of them, but when pressed for answers of your own - and you've been asked several pertinent ones by people on this thread, like why did you come back from Elements t…
  • Tell us the plan or there is no plan. This is the age of the Internet. If there is no video of an event: it didn't happen.
  • Well, believe it or not: you might not be the first to suggest that wheels should probably be round. Those who persevere with Hitfilm discover that it has its faults. I'm about to make a video about one of them that's been there for years, and mak…
  • Great, you've cracked it. FXHomes's target audience is that huge, untapped market of 70+ year old Grandmas who are into VFX and beating their grandkids at video games.
  • Great, there will always be outliers. The mistake is in assuming they're representative of the whole.
