  • Great to hear that! Thanks.
  • @CedricBonnier Thanks for the heads up. It's still in their since the last update though.
  • @Juda1 You only need to hit save in Mocha and the close it. The mask will then be applied to the layer you threw the Moch Pro 'effect' on. Oh, I tried to copy the mask to the layer with the poster (after exporting as comp and importing it), but as …
  • @Juda1 I finally got it working. I duplicated the footage and put the poster in between both footage layers (actually the same way I would do it with regular masking, lol). Then I applied to the footage layer on top of the stack the Mocha Pro plug-…
  • @jsbarrett That's cool. Isn't it. Alas, at this point in time I only get frustrated with even the most simple tasks, as described a couple of hours ago.  I just sent an e-mail to the representative from Boris with a cry for help.
  • Hi Juda1, I just tried the following: 1. I have footage were I placed in post a poster on a wall behind me. 2. When I lean into it, my head is covered by the poster. Therefore I roto scoped my head in order to cut the poster out. The matte looks …
  • Juda1  Thank you so much for your input. This makes total sense. I will give this a try with some smaller video's.  I just finished the edit of a 115 minute feature where not a ton of effects where used. For a future project I want to make use of …
  • Juda1  Yes, when I for example follow a Moch Pro remove tutorial, I do everything they do, but decide to render in Mocha. During the render I only see the shapes dancing around (following the path they should) and the footage in the viewer disappear…
  • Anthony_VFX_CGI  While I totally get the tracking stuff in Mocha, my main problem is the total basic of getting it into my footage in Hitfilm. For now I always end up throwing everything away and do everything manually with the point trackers, mask…
  • @Triem23 It's h.264 and 4:2:0, plus I did some bad organization on set, what led to unnecessary spill. In one scene I solved the same problem with some light wrap. In other instances the actors have short hair, what really made everything easier.
  • Anthony_VFX_CGI  The background is actually very easy to track since the footage is inside a car that stands in front of a green screen. The problem is that the actress has blond and flimsy hair. Every time she turns hear head to her co-actor there…
  • @Anthony2016 Maybe you want to pump out some tutorials on Mocha Pro if you are so excited. There are some hair locks that give me headache in chroma keying, so I decided to remove them.... ....Hours of tutorials later I still had no success and c…
  • Will this problem be solved in one of the next updates?
  • @Triem23 are you planning to do some tutorials on the Hitfilm Academy for Mocha Pro? Just today I bought the Mocha Pro plug-in as the price was too tempting and I know that it can be a huge help with current and future projects.  For now I watch th…
  • I would like to be able to put markers on the timeline (I believe in Vegas it's done by hitting 'M'). This way I could hit the letter in the rhythm of music and then would be able to cut in exactly that rhythm. This would be great.
  • @CNK I hope for the best. I ordered a Corsair RM750x with a lot of good reviews. It's quite a popular brand here in NL. UDATE: Built in the mentioned PSU. 750 watts compared to the old one with 450 watts. The first thing that caught my eyes was tha…
  • UPDATE: My PSU just died whilst rendering a 7 minute composite. A new one is in the mail and will arrive tomorrow around noon.
  • NormanPCN When I upgraded my system, I filled out a form at a PSU-vendor's website with all the installed components. The outcome was the PSU I had should be just fine. However, when I render with DaVinci at the highest speed the PSU will get to ho…
  • @CedricBonnier Thank you for the tip. While 150% was the recommended setting by Windows10, nothing else actually changed when I set it to 100%. At least not in a way that it had any impact on what I'm doing. Thanks again!
  • @CedricBonnier Thank you! This did the trick. It was set to 150%. With 100% it works as it should :-)
  • @CedricBonnier Where do I find this setting?
  • @Triem23 I do mainly the ususal video footage with some chroma key effects a.s.o. When it comes to the editing format I use it is DNxHD 8 Bit.  And of course everything on SSD-drives.
  • @tddavis I'm working on a feature film. My composites are not very intense. OK, some are, but most of them have two layers, yet the preview is lagging in full quality. The only work around is doing a RAM preview. I think I have to play around a bit …
  • @tddavis Thank you very much. My settings are the same. The only difference are the power settings. For Hitfilm I've set it to maximum performance. When it comes to compositing, I'm still quite disappointed seen all the hardware updates I did in th…
  • @LeandroSeabra I had a look in the NVIDIA Control Panel. Where can I find those settings. I have the same configuration as tddavis .
  • I rund the AMD FX 4300 and it seems to be my main bottleneck. After upgrading from the Nvidia GT 730 2GB to the Nvidia GTX 1060 SC 6GB without any improvement, my next step is upgrading from 16 GB to 32 GB RAM. If it is still laggy then, the CPU ha…
  • I upgraded from the NVIDIA GT 730 2GB to the NVIDIA GTX 1060 SC 6GB. It's now slower than before. I think it's too much muscle for my cpu AMD FX 4300. Will investigate further.
  • @Triem23 Thanks again. Just had a look at the benchmark and got the confirmation that my GPU sucks big time and that a little upgrade would be 1.024% faster. Let it be 100% and I'm happy already.
  • Triem23, I found some tutorials on the channel of the makers of Mocha for Hitfilm. I really have to dive a bit deeper into that. I look forward to all of your tutorials on your channel and can encourage everybody here to go and have a look, as you …
  • Hi @Triem23 Thanks for the fast reply. When I have thrown the 'effect' Mocha Hitfilm on the footage of my timeline and I then have a closer look at the controls for that effect I see things like 'Open Moch UI' and 'Matte' and other settings. As thi…
