  • @GrayMotion Another thought or two - If you're using a third party anti-virus instead of Windows Defender, uninstall it before trying again.  Check your system file integrity with DISM. Open an Admin command prompt and run the following commands on…
  • Sure! Donate it to me instead Sorry, couldn't resist. Are you getting any failure codes or does it just do its thing and end up doing a rollback on reboot? One simple thing to look for - Check for a Windows RE (Recovery Environment) on your Windo…
  • Under Options, top right corner of the viewer panel, should be an option called show motion tracking paths. Uncheck it.
  • Well it should be "C:\Program Files (x86)\Vstplugins" not "C:\Program Files (x86)\plug-ins" like you just posted so make sure that's right first. To reset the Audacity plugin cache, you need to go to "C:\Users\YourUserAccount\AppData\Roaming\audaci…
  • @PhilTanny No worries and I apologize if I sounded harsh. There is a big difference between somebody doing something as a hobby and somebody doing something hoping to get paid at the end of it. If you're hoping to get paid, there's nothing worse tha…
  • @PhilTanny Never forget the 6 P's, Prior Preparation Prevents P**s Poor Performance. While I too would welcome an archive function to well, archive a project, that should never be a substitute for some form of media management before a project ever …
  • Yes, Audacity 32 bit and Gsnap 32 bit on 64 bit Windows
  • "Firstly, i installed everything with 64bit" Audacity for Windows is 32 bit only so you need to make sure you're trying to use the 32 bit version of Gsnap or it won't work. 64 bit Audacity is only available on Linux.  "C:\Program Files (x86)\Vstpl…
  • Well the Tascam is actually a recorder while the Sennheiser is a wireless mic requiring an additional way to record. It's also an older mic introduced prior to the FCC banning wireless mics from using certain frequency ranges so you have to be caref…

  • I copied gsnap.dll to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Vstplugins", the normal location for 32 bit VST plugins. Then I started Audacity and went to Effect-->Add/Remove Plug-ins to open the plug-in manager, scrolled down until I found the entry for Gsnap. …
  • Using Avidemux is a bit of a process with your source files to get a working MP4 file without transcoding the video. It probably is just as easy to use Handbrake and transcode the video using the NormanAVC settings. Virtualdub2 is what you want to …

  • My first guess would be a GPU problem like overheating. The usual things to check are making sure your drivers are up date, all cooling fans are working, and air vents and heat sinks are clear of obstruction. You might want to try monitoring your sy…
  • You don't say what you're trying to do with Avidemux but there are some things it won't do. It won't copy an AVC stream from an AVI (see NormanPCN's comment about AVC in an AVI  being a very bad idea) to an MP4 and it won't allow uncompressed PCM au…

  • @MattNall With what you describe I don't understand why copy and paste attributes wouldn't work or why think it would take so much more time.  "In other programs, once I've done the first, I just copy and paste it 52 times each on a new layer 3 fra…
  • I'm not Triem23 but Gimp can export eps files as long as you also have Ghostscript installed. The big problem is Title Studio is pretty picky with vector objects so there's no guarantee Gimp + Ghostscript will produce something Title Studio likes.
  • @Palacono You'd be surprised. Most of her friends have most of the same things except maybe the Xbox.
  • @Palacono & @PhilTanny I'm not wading in to take sides on this one but given the subject matter I have to tell you both a little bit about my mother. She'll be 78 soon, is a not just a grandma but a great grandma, owns a windows desktop, a Windo…
  • Pancro Lens Cleaner with lens tissues or a good microfiber cloth.  Zeiss has wipes and full kits that are good too.
  • Here ya go! https://hitfilm.com/forum/discussion/45019/extracting-layers-from-multi-layer-openexr-sequences Affinity Photo can do it as well but it's a little convoluted to get everything set for batch processing  and on the slow side. The program…
  • @skuddle In the upper right corner there is a Menu option. Click that and select Account for the log in screen.
  • If you need an older installer AND you know the exact version number/filename, like you do, you can substitute it in the url for the current version. The url for the current version is: http://installers.hitfilm.com/hitfilm-pro/HitFilmPro_x64_7.1.7…
  • @Juda1 The English version of "even a blind chicken sometimes picks up a corn" is "Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while." and.... Nicely Done!
  • The short answer is newbies are definitely worth it. It's notoriously difficult to draw users away from an entrenched ecosystem they already know. How many Windows users switch to Mac? How many Mac users switch to Windows? How many Mac or Windows us…
  • .flv files are FLash Video files and aren't directly supported by HitFilm. Follow the steps in this thread for using Handbrake (free) to convert them to something that will work well with HitFilm. https://hitfilm.com/forum/discussion/42415/transcod…
  • Full disclosure - I worked for a Sennheiser dealer for years and the companies I work with the most these days are Sennheiser shops. The HD 280's  are my go to headphones. Unlike @jsbarrett ,I do like the fit and the closed back. I also have the AKG…
  • @Andersen01498 It's kind of like comparing HitFilm to AE. Affinity Photo and Designer do not match Photoshop and Illustrator feature for feature. They have a more focused set of features that are, in my opinion, executed very well and they do have s…
  • Well you would be surprised. You are going to use basic algebra skills for finances, budgeting of anything, not just money, logistics, scheduling, travel times, measurements, power requirements, set building and it's a stepping stone to geometry, tr…
  • Usually that kind of error indicates a problem with your Windows installation. It could file corruption, pending Windows updates, registry issues.......just all kinds of things. There's no single, universal fix. Try Googling VC90.CRT 800736b3 to see…
  • Go to your VirtualDub FilterMod folder, launch Veedub64.exe and try it again. The default VirtualDub.exe is a 32 bit application. Veedub64.exe is the 64 bit version and should take care of the memory problem.
  • @Triem23 Yep I can verify it. It's why I now use Affinity Photo and Designer.
