I have exported my work as an MP4. It will not play on a regular dvd player. It works with bluray, but not dvd.
I want an ordinary dvd.
You'll need to use outside software like MPEG Streamclip to transcode your Hitfilm output to the proper format.
DVD players cannot play mp4 files. The DVD spec is MPEG-2 in a VOB container. Files larger than 1 GB would be split up... You probably need actual DVD authoring software.
Thanks a lot!!!
Have to mention it but Windows Movie Maker has a DVD maker, might be a bit crude depends what the output is for. It is dead easy to use and if Free.
@Andy001z - As far as I'm concerned, WMM doesn't support Windows 10, but none the less, here you go OP
CDBurnerXP is a free program that will put your mp4 onto a DVD disk. I still use DVD Architect Studio 5.0 to create DVDs with menus.
