Isn't he a nice man.....
It's a really great introduction to Express and editing/layering in general. In fact, I'm going to have to rethink a video I was planning out, because Tobias has done such a good job.
I took a full watch through and one thing that is happening on my playback is that when he says "Ok lets play it and see..." I don't see the mussal flash appear as expected. From the video it should appear and I am watching in HD, but odd how it's not showing. I have provided the you tube link here for the part that I think is not showing.

It's odd.
@SimonKJones I don't call it "best" lightly. Nothing is in-depth, but Tobias just hit enough of everything around the board to give an absolute beginner a quick tour.
(I also posted this because any "installation problem" or other super-basic questions that come up every day are largely covered here. Save myself some typing.
)
@Andy001z I don't think you link kept the time marker. I actually downloaded this tutorial and in his full-screen playback at the end the muzzle flash is there. When he plays it on the timeline the Muzzle Flash is missing--but it's one frame long. I bet his screen recording software captured at 12-15 fps and just... Missed it
@Triem23 that is most likely it, the only issue is when I get to the end when we exports the video it to on YouTube is without the muzzle (oh I need more sleep that last spelling was shocking). Its a shame becuase it makes it look like it is not working.
@Andy001z odd, because I see the flash on the full-screen version at the end. Oh, well. Minor glitch likely caused by a screencap or YouTube compression glitch. Still a damn useful tutorial. And, again, it covers a lot of the basic questions that come up daily.
@Triem23 very true, a good one to reference for new users.
@Andy001z - Maybe you just need to buy youtube's new muzzle flash generator detector. ;^)
Wow
Somebody bribe him to do a tutorial on the Speed effect.
