Repair Pack?

Is that add-on pack worth it?

Does the stuff in the pack work good?

I really need to clean up my video, I got some noise and other stuff, so that my video itself looks like good quality!

  • @HIS__Films I can't say whether it's good or not because I'm obviously biased but you can install HitFilm Pro Demo and try it for yourself.

Be careful not to overwrite your project files though. A file saved in Pro will open in Express (providing it is the same version number or more recent) but any feature that is not licensed will get removed automatically from the project.

  • @CedricBonnier I guess I could do that, but I am on a deadline, and I do not have much time to test stuff out, I was hoping someone would know, but I can wait till someone knows ;) thanks. If not I guess I will have to live without it for a little :)

Noise removal is pretty good. I took some truly awful iPhone footage shot by candle light and it produced something watchable.  I had to turn up Frames to 8 from the default of 1 because it was really, really dark and noisy and although that took longer to process, it came out OK. I then dropped on some Exposure to lighten it up and the results were a lot better than expected. It's also not got that plasticy look, like I sometimes find I get with Neat Noise reduction in Movie Studio.

    Watch this video:

  • @HIS__Films There are other threads discussing audio and video noise reduction in HitFilm, hopefully you can find what you are looking for in there:

Let us know if you need more details :)

  • @Palacono Glad to hear that it works well, I might purchase it! I will watch that video ;)

@CedricBonnier I will check out those threads, thanks a lot!!

  • @HIS_Films HitFilm's Denoise is pretty much as good as it gets. If you need to clean up some clips, get the repair pack you won't be sorry and it's actually a steal compared to the cost of other options.

  • Great, I will probably get it! Thanks.
