I get a "failed to initialize shaders" error when I add an atomic particle effect to any media, text or plane layer with HitFilm 3 Pro. My specs:
Intel Core i7-4700HQ 2.4 GHz8 GB RAMWindows 8.1, 64 bitNvidia GeForce GT 740M, driver 347.09
BrianBoru I am assuming your system has multiple GPU's as you haven't stated otherwise, if it does could you make sure your system is set-up to use the more powerful Nvidia GPU rather than the Intel HD present. Here is a link explaining how to set this up: http://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2615/~/how-do-i-customize-optimus-profiles-and-settings? Thanks,Ady
Many thanks! Worked like a charm.
Sorry to bump the thread, Just looking at your laptop specs. I'm looking for a new laptop so I was wondering how does your machine perform using hitfilm. It has a decent but not top of the line graphics card so just interested to know how it performs.
