I see the viewer black in the last update

Hi, yesterday I installed the 5.0.7012.39363 version of HitFilm Express 2017 but I couldn't use it because the viewer (both, for edit and for compositions) wasn't working, it showed me a black screen when I imported a element to the timeline, and if I tried importing a second element, then the software crashed. I couldn't use the new version so I had to back to my previous version 5.0.6718.07202, and it works well.

My pc:

Windows 10 Pro

Intel Core i5-2410M 2.30GHz

Ram: 6 GB

GPU: GeForce GT 540M

  • I was watching and my driver is before to the 382.05. I think I'll try installing the last version of the driver in the future.

    Update your driver to current version and see what happens. The Hitfilm 2017 Express/Pro update released last week is supposed to fix the Nvidia issue. 

  • SergiBSG... Did you find any solution to your problem? I am having same problem but white screen instead of black screen. It is not because of nvidia driver as I can see video in the trimmer window. but no video on viewer window. I am also using the same version 5.0.7012.39363. However the same version is working on my other system. 

  • Sorry for the long time. I didn't have an urgent need of edit videos and update the software, but now I proved the Triem23's solution and it fixed the problem. Now Hitfilm is working very well.
