Don't know if there's any overlap between Anime Studio and HitFilm users, but since I use Anime Studio and wanted to transfer camera movements to HitFilm I tried my best to make sense of Maya files and wrote this script for Anime Studio: ds_file_to_maya.zip
I don't have Maya so I haven't tested it there, but it seems to work in HitFilm:
Unfortunately you can't use both X and Y rotation of the camera at the same time since Anime Studio uses local coordinates (or something like that), and I haven't figured out how to compensate for that.
Layer positions in Anime Studio will be exported as points with the same name as the layer, but if you have a space in the name only the part before the space will show up. (Is this a limitation of Maya files or HitFilm?)
