we did do a lot of bluescreening but for the arm being cut off we used AE or Commotion. I can't remember exactly but if pressed for a guess, I'd say Commotion.
as for the metal light sabers, there are 2 kinds we used - 2 of them we purchased over teh net - and man are they gorgeous! the other 2 we made by taking a trip to canadian tire and buying various things and stickin em together.

Yeah liked it very cool i especially liked the tricky of cutting the guys arm off - did you use blue screen or did you layer another frame on top of it? Impressed with the metal lightsabers as well - wot u make them out of?
Anyway class film enjoyed it thoroughly
