During pre-production of RedFruit 2, Kirill and Thomas wanted to try some in-home filming with their newly delivered props.

Watch as one man comes home and finds that his wife is not only missing, but a masked man is waiting to "leave him a message", so to speak.

Mystery ensues the quiet residence, can our man find who has his wife, and the answer to get her back?

Note: Some parts are a bit dark, but unfortunately there was nothing we could do about it.

I liked it but half of it was boring ( the first half ) he was just walking around looking for the guy it didnt really keep my attention. In the other half I liked the glass shattering as they shot. It had my attention as soon as the first shot was fired Id like to see part 2, just put give it some type of twist for example the guys who took his wife were two "friends" of his, and he got a promotion at his job and became theyre boss so they wanted revenge. I liked the editing but the smoke in the darkness was just awful. 4 starts, great job Cypher.

umm...yeh i liked it. had some positive points about it - the editing was very good in places - creating a sense of urgency and confusion. I actually wasn't too bothered by the darkness indoors cos it had its part to play as a tool for building the tension - but the darkness outdoors was too much. couldn't see what was going on at all. i guess if i have one criticism - it wouldn't be aimed directly at you but in a general way that it tends to be the case that within 1 minute of a lot of movies - the first character either a) pulls out a nice shiny gun and cocks it back (to prove to us its real) or b) grabs the nearest lightsabre. now i know you could argue the case that this is an fx site and so its expected that muzzleflashes and sabres are going to feature just as often as explosions but i dont know i'm just hoping for something a little different. thats why i enjoyed A Glitch In Time so much, cos it offered something different, something light and a new approach to the fx we learn. Anyways - as i said - none of the above was directly about you - just found myself rambling on. It's late here. Getting back to it, i think what you've achieved in this film far outweighs any criticisms against it. Despite the darkness and the lack of story i felt you've put together a pretty decent little short and yes I would watch the 2nd part. The editing and the camerawork at times is very good and of a high standard. Just out of curiosity, do you storyboard? or go on gut instinct. Reason i ask is that there are moments which look very much thought out in terms of shot composition and editing, yet in others it looks like you were thinking on the spot. Just a thought. I'll reserve my vote once i've seen the conclusion. Hope this post has been of some help.

Thanks I'm not actually sure what the song in the end credits was...but I believe it was from Gangs of New York or Black Hawk Down. I really don't remember and this was edited on a different computer, so I can't really check. sorry.
