This is a short appetizer I made for the creators of "Zak McKracken 2", a Fangame to the original Zak maybe some "oldskool gamers" still remember... :)

3D Animations, Realfootage, Compositing and the music you hear was done by me. Additional credits go to Dotperinch (http://www.dotperinch.de) for the mars surface and the crystal model.

Hope you enjoy it!

Thanks for the kind comments! By the way, this video is a pretty old one anyway... Hmm... to the action... zak McKracken is an Adventure game... You don't really have a lot of action to show, as the game is pretty much actionless... Thank you Encheval! Well... As I have written this music is composed by myself, so it's clear it isn't as good as the others... I cannot match an Alan Silvestri or a Danny Elfman... yet...

Filming, acting, cg's... Solthar definetly have many skills !!! This one is not my favourite you've made but was cool anyway. Another use of Cinema 4D ? (the shaders for the desert are great !). The only weakness from my point of view is the music. i didn't like nore the theme nore the sound an i found it far less interesting than your other productions. Compositing is fine (as usual) and the slow rythm like in an animatic prologue works great. Nico

First I'd like to compliment you on your wonderful cg work, it looked good. Second, I think it's missing action. Every video game preview has good action in it (assuming it's an action video game anyway). You never showed Zak in action, lets see what he can do! I have never played the original game, so I don't know what's supposed to be going on, and don't fully understand the subject matter, I'm critiquing from an uninformed point of view. I'm merely suggesting what I think would help fill it out more. . . all in all I thought it was neat
