This is one of my first tests using Visionlab. I rendered the Miranda Class starship using Electric Image Animation System some time ago, and then added the photon torpedoes and phasers using Visionlab. I wish I knew about this software years ago...

One more test... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o9RFupRioUM I've been playing with explosions. The one I used was from detonation films. The Jem Hadar bug was created by Ebolii (gotta give credit where it's due). I stink at modelling, so it's great that people with great modelling skills are willing to share.

That is what I call amazing right there. Excellent job you've done on this. I like how only a bit of the shields come to life as they're struck and not the shields all over the ship. Looking forward to your next clip. Again... very good job.

I have posted a second test to youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zqlOo5003Qk I still haven't added sound yet (I'm thinking of using Mars by Holst for the background music), but first wanted to see if I could create a shield hit that I liked. I started with the Electric Flash Muzzle Flash and modified it quite a bit to get the effect I was after. I've also lowered my illuminator (area light) setting to get the lighting I want to use. Once I complete my storyboards, I'll start rendering the animations. Who knows... I might just have to throw in a few Federation Tactical Fighters.
