This is a pretty big improvement over the Claws movie. There's a story this time round (although it didn't make a huge amount of sense, but it kept things moving!) and a bit of structure, rather than just an endless fight. It was shot with more confidence, seeming to be more aware of continuity editing, which mean that the fight sequences were much more effective. They could still do with being a bit tighter (both in performance and editing), but there was some quite inventive bits and pieces in there - quite a bit of the combat had a free-flowing, making-it-up-as-we-go feel that reminded me a bit of the Indiana Jones movies. In some ways that's a much harder style to pull off than the Matrixy, super-choreographed style that was around last decade. A definite improvement! You desperately need to clean your lens, though.
