It's been literally YEARS since you guys have seen what I've been up to, so I think over the coming weeks and months, I'll go through and VideoWrap my films for the Web and share with the FXHOME community that's been a large part of my early filmmaking experience.

--------------

My final film from 3rd year of Film School. Everyone was attempting to do all these epic movies and fit them into 8 minutes and I decided, meh, I'll just do a short 5-minute ridiculous comedy.

Original Release: April 2007

Enjoy :)

I'm glad you guys enjoyed it! I had a lot of fun making it. Here's some trivia: the original concept came from none other than Spatula (i forget his old FXHome name)... he's the guy who wrote and starred as MacDuff in Macbeth 3000 a few years ago (http://fxhome.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=16656). We were walking in Toronto one day and I needed to write a short treatment for screenwriting and on the spot he just came up with this cookie idea (I was eating a mcflurry at the time) and i thought it was really funny, went home and wrote a quick scene. It went quite well in the class, and the following year I decided to adapt it into an actual film, and here we are.

Well Done! That Was Brilliant! It was classic when you could see the statue of liberty in the backround!

As you know by now, I'm a big fan of your style. This reminded me a lot of snitch and deadline, two great shorts. Dialogue was strong, and the pacing/length of the film I felt hit the spot. My favorite scenes were actually the beginning and ending. The beginning shot actually reminded me of Elise in just the way you were introducing credits but also kind of already telling the story. The ending was just enough irony I thought and director cameos never hurt either haha. Overall good work. But not your best...J/K Haha, I hope you know what I'm saying and not taking that as a dig.
