The Magic Duel to End All Magic Duels. A contest between the Living Hero and the Dead Black Magic Lich. Only one of them will walk away alive (and maybe not even that many).

OPENING CRAWL::::::::

So a long time ago, before the oceans drank Atlantis, a time of myth and legend when the ancient gods were petty and cruel, etc etc...

There was one soul who escaped his mortal bonds to entwine himself with eternity, becoming not merely immortal, but unlife.
The first, and most powerful:

SPELLMASTER

The master of his destiny, his magic was always his primary goal. He set out to ensure the survival of his magic for the ages by recruiting others into his necromancy. He eventually amassed a following of fellow acolytes, following the Spellmaster into unlife. With these followers, the Master was sure that his magic would pass down, immune to the decay and forgetfulness of time.

But their passions were petty,
Their wills were weak.
And they engaged in battles of spite over magical secrets that they held jealously guarded from each other.
(cue WAR OF THE SPELLMASTERS and LICH WAR, see link below)

In addition, the Liches were constantly challenged by the wizards of light, by heros seeking to make their name, and terrors with souls even blacker than their own, out to steal their magic.

In time, the acolytes were extinguished, either by their own hand or incessant would-be heros.
And the Master was alone yet again.

Acknowledging the defeat of his acolytes, yet still seeking to secure his own magic for all time, the Master devised another plan...

A plan that would forever taint the land with his black abjurations
A spell that would guarentee the survival of his power for all time, from one age to the next, and to the next.

The mortal mind can barely comprehend the awe-reaching power of the invokation, and only a bare few are even aware of its very existence.

Those that do, speak of it only in whispered fear, and refer to it only as:

(Well, that the name of the movie.)


This project started SO LONG ago I dared think this time would never come. But I made it, and you can enjoy it. Should be fine Halloween viewing, and for a beginning directors commentary on the trials and dangers of filming, read my post in the Cinema section of the forum "For Your Halloween Enjoyment"

The WHOLE THING IS ALAMDV from front to back. Every last spell and effect is an ALAMDV brainchild with only one spell using a different program, and you will know why when you see it.
So the thing ought to be a pretty good commercial for CSBDigital. Hope you like it.
