Hi Max
Absolutely no need for apologies...I know you've been very busy so I really appreciate the time and care you've put into this review.
I'm so glad you enjoyed the little vid and I totally agree with all your
points that you mentioned.....I hope my next adventure will be better animated....mmmmm.
Many thanks again Max for a great review.

Hi Dave, sorry I've taken so long to write up what I thought about this.
I really liked it, it was funny and bizarre and had me smiling the whole way through.
My favourite bit was the Bond style opening credits, fun and inspired.
The story was fine and simple, even though I had no pre-existing knowledge of Blythe dolls I understood the premise because it doesn't apply specifically to the doll itself. Rather, the story of an obsessive collector of niche items, horribly exaggerated into a crazed Dr Frankenstein freak, who meets their fully justified demise at the hands of their own obscure obsession, is basically a funny story with a moral, a bit like any classic fairy tale. It's also sort of a super hero revenge film.
I liked the tone of it, odd, funny, and the dog was genuinely unsettling. I think it's great that you based a film around a subject which it seems the majority of people know nothing about, and you made it work as a story.
Basically, I thought it was very fun and enjoyable.
It almost seems pointless to critique the technical aspects because that is clearly not what the emphasis is on or what you're films are about, although I will because it's a film and that's such a huge part of making a film.
The animation is fine, it's simple and it works well. It's not without it's faults but it's a means to an end and in that context it completely succeeds. I do think it's definitely improved since Family Values. Same goes for the sound, it's fine, not perfect, but it works. The noises from the dog really enhanced the tension and horror aspect.
Clearly though, the focus is on telling a story, because you want to, and that is a brilliant thing.
I'm looking forward to the next one,
Max
