Uriel - Development Trailer

By Icken9 of Blank Canvas Media

Rating:

We went to Cannes in May to try and raise finance for our first feature – Uriel.

The trip went very well and we got a lot of meetings with top production companies. The highlight being a meeting with Rodin Entertainment where we pitched the film to Jean-Claude Van Damme and his producers.

We decided a month before we went that it would be good to shoot a teaser trailer just to show that we know what we are doing and this is what we came up with.

If anyone is interested, there is a full synopsis and production stills on the website www.urielthemovie.com

This looked very professional and slick- sure you're not a major studio. I would definately keep pursuing the studios on this one; it looks like a winner.

impressive for a teaser trailer and an independent one at that. This would be a DVD I would be (hintedy hint hint). Good job. Something that made it seem much more professional than most of these 'films' on the box office, is that this wasn't a sfx driven film. There wasn't sfx in every shot and it didn't drive the movie. Also, it seemed like it could be a legit trailer, since not all shots were those nice trailer 'money shots' and it seemed real to me. All in all, if you put more time polishing it, it would look nice. But to previous comments saying the visuals aren't polished, anyone can make a good looking piece of video footage if they put time into it, put the difficult part is to make it good on the other end (story, acting, flow, etc). All in all good job.
