The titles are big because we shot the series for mobile phones - hard to read if they are tiny. As for the black and white - I think a fair bit was lost in the compression when changed to a smaller web-sized file. Was shot in HD, not DV and the original obviously looks much better. As for Nightcast, I gave it a five! Certain I did... I'm going to look right now... wouldn't have purposely given a film that I liked enough to watch in its entirety a zero! Thought it was great, apart from the terrible dialogue - but it was a homage to "B" movies

I enjoyed this, but I have to say I found it incredibly hard to watch because of the lower-contrast black-and-white. I'm a fan of black-and-white if it's motivated, and has a purpose, but I didn't understand it here. Furthermore, DV cameras, as I'm sure you know, aren't as receptive to light as film itself is; and for that reason simply desaturating DV footage does not really do anything to the visual quality, besides perhaps make it look murky. I also felt the titles were waaaay too large (I couldn't differentiate between the interview titles and the credit titles) but that's just down to opinion.
Ultimately, enjoyable but suffering from some mistakes in post-production (in grading, text, style, some cuts) that pull the entire thing down for me. 3/5
EDIT: And thanks for giving your own film a 5 and Nightcast a 0. Good to know you're playing fair!
