Before the idyllic style of 'atomic' was formed, before drama became the object, before crunched green and black hues, kidnappings, shootings and death; there was a short about a mundane Monday.

The first ever short created by Atomic Productions, "Munday" marks our foray into the world of timed video contests; which eventually spurred our success as a group. Created in just 24 hours, this film had to have a "first class" as a theme, a mailbox as a location, and a 'Quick' newspaper as a prop. As with Cover's Story (which this precedes), we took the criteria very literally and opted out of doing anything involving first class mail. We put a heavy, heavy focus on including the required elements- so much so that the plot didn't make the most sense.

Even so, it is with this in mind that we give you our first attempt at filmmaking as a group. There's no gritty style, heavy-handed religious undertones, or deeply engrained philosophy; but we hope you enjoy it nonetheless.

I know I already said this, but any other takers?

Was this pre-The Odyssey? Loved the classic wake-up with floor shot of feet. I like seeing early stuff though, glad this was posted. I'll rate when I've finished and edit/bump. Damn slow servers (unless you've since upgraded, in which case the flash file must be huge or something). Plainly: not an American thing, just an abstract thing.

Ve-ery smooth, Ben. OK, since I've started commenting I might as well finish. I liked this. A lot, actually. It was very... Well, just a nice story, nicely pulled off. Of course, I found the technicals just OK (I don't really remember - I watched this some days ago - but this is what I had thought, I think ) which gives you a 3 some me, but I won't go there since you did that film so long ago and have learned so much since, anyway. And this is also why I didn't comment before, heh. But yeah, I definitely enjoyed this short. Good job. /taker EDIT: Is writing 'Monday' with a U and American thing, or did I simply missed something?
