Blowing my hand off!!

A short clip I made to test some stock footage I recently bought. I added some "swooshes" and text in the beginning of the clip to see how I can use that as an effect for trailers etc.

I used quite long time editing, mainly because of the shadow from the blood, but I think it turned out pretty good!

Hi there, for this you can "Invert" the Clip and then turn the Hue ("Hue shift") about 180 degress. So you got stil red blood and black background. Regards!

That's why there's so many different kinds of stock footage for all kinds of purpuses. If the angle's wrong, it was simply the wrong stock for that shot - or the wrong shot for that stock, depending on the way you look at it. I liked the shadow effect on this, but agree that the blood color is too bright and the off angle gives the effect away quite easily. Good job on the tracking and masking though. For a first test, I like it.
- Sollthar I agree with Sollthar, if you are doing greenscreen(for example) you may have the lighting straight on you so you dont have an shadows sticking out to the left or right but if the camera is even slightly to the left and can see a lot of shadows its your angles and can be a big pain when keying the FX in it in. So you always want to take precautions when it comes to angles and where your shooting from. Out of all I was impressed with how this test cam eout REALLY good for a try.

HI Pretty cool! I love stock footage! nr1 use some more blood... actually alot more blood. Gives a better effect. nr2 I could hear that you've got the sound effect by the gun from therecordist.com, and I think you could have used much better soundeffects and turn it up a little. I didn't really get the feeling of the guns power. But a VERY good job! hope you can use my commentary. Keep it up! you've got talent!
