How far would you go to get in to the bathroom.
A short little film me and a friend made on a rainy afternoon.

This was filmed very quickly. So didn't realise about no watch. Good point about their was no smoke on the door as the laser was burning through. Their was no point to the film, it was really an effects test. Oh, and i'm not going to sit on the toilet with nothing on. ![]()

am i right in saying that you used the neon light for the mazer at the door, and then you got a video of a guy sitting on the toilet reading a newspaper and added a mask in a jagged shape, added a muzzle flash and some smoke particles and its cool? Nice but a few errors, the guy on the right didn't have a watch he kept checking. And the guy on the toilet was just sitting there with his pants on. Ok it would be quite wierd if he didn't, but it just added to the randomness of it. 4/5 from me because it looked good, and only a few errors. Also, you should've put some smoke particles where the laser hit the door to make it seem like you are burning through wood. (correction, having read other posts, it seems i was right in my guess)

It was really quite simple. Do the filming with the door shut, then do the filming with the door open. Then in effects lab mask out part of the door in a shape that doesn't look uniform. Then place the film with the door open behind. only the part of the film that will show through will be through the mask. keeping the camera on a tripod in the same position for both parts of the film, is very important.
