Hm, just saw this and I have a few comments... Acting The hobo's acting was alright for an amateur, but the two other's acting were sort of dragged out, and silly. If you were aiming for something funny, it didn't work well. If you were aiming for something serious(which I doubt you were), try to make the characters have more in depth conversations that go somewhere. Not something like, "Whatata? What we do? do what? what that athat??" Camera work I'm not going to say it was bad because I could see what you trying to do in most of the shots. A tripod would help, and a steadycam for the first person view. The camera work would of been improved immensely. Try to have a stoic camera man next time. His laughing was sort of distracting. Effects They were alright. The muzzle flashes were a bit off. The car exploding effect was pretty well done. Overall: 2/5 It's good for a your first movie. Keep it up.

Night of the Hobo (the sequel to this) has been submitted to the cinema and is waiting to be reviewed by FXhome, but you can watch it now by clicking here. Or you can watch it on YouTube by clicking here.
I gotta say, I was dissappointed by this immensely. Not because it wasn't good, it was, but because it started off so strong in the technicals and storytelling (5 material) and then went downhill. If anything, it's often smarter to reverse this, having the strongest part of the movie at the climax or conclusion so that the audience is left wowed. If you "wow" people at the beginning and then don't deliver (at least not with as much style) for the rest of the film, they're not going to think that much of the movie as a whole. That's why, in Cover's Story, it starts with a bang and ends with an even greater one: the realization that the beginning of the movie is actually the end, and vice versa. And in Redemption, it starts slow and rapidly gathers speed into a huge conclusion. Except for you gave both of those a 2- though I've no idea why- so maybe you wouldn't agree with me of this one; but as far as storytelling goes they're better ways to construct your movie. Think more in terms of how the audience will view it and how well it holds their attention, is what I'm saying. Ultimately, what I'm trying to say is this: Night of the Hobo shows me GREAT improvement if your ability to produce a movie, but as far as keeping me entertained and interested for the whole movie and up until the end, Day of the Hobo was far superior.
