"Murder is born of love, and love attains the greatest intensity in murder" -
Octave Mirbeau

Loves Me Not is the latest drama from Leeds Student Television; the station that brought you 'Warning Sign', 'The Making Of' and 'Chav!'

A six month long collaborative effort between up and coming director/producers Sam Shepherd and Tim Thomson.

'Loves Me Not' was shot on our shiny new PDX-10P, edited in Premiere and graded with VisionLab Studio.

This project was particularly fun to work on for me - there was a lot of creative freedom in the grading and effects, and I also had a lot of fun creating the closing credits. I hope you all enjoy this as much as we enjoyed making it.

Cheers,
Arktic.

Yikes! This was really not what I expected. Perhaps it is due to the shining ability and professionalism of the other works ('Warning Sign', 'The Making Of', even 'Chav!') that gave me preconceived expectations of this that I come posting in such a shock. This wasn't what I expected. On an overall level, this is a technically solid work. The editing isn't off and the grading is fine, as well as the cinematography. It's only when you pick these pieces apart that you become critical of them. This was a good work, but the cinematography for me was too distant and the framing seemed slanted to the side a lot of the time. The editing was solid, but nothing fancy really gave me that Windows Vista "Wow!" The grading was so-so, and although it's really a subjective matter of taste, I thought it screamed "Cheap movie!" with the excess glow and overdone hues in certain scenes. However, there are also parts in which the grading shines such as the ending, so it's really a back-and-forth review. Overall I agree and continue on what's already been said and give a deserved 3/5.

I watched about half of it and then couldn't watch the rest. I can defeintly see the potential, but I just can't stand this film "genre". Hitmen: Pff...

Overall a very pretty film, the design of it was nice. But the script was lacking, having watched it i dont know who any of those people were, or remember their names or anything. Acting : 2/5 Sound : 2/5 Script : 2/5 Post-production : 4/5 Keep going though, obiously you got talent. Nice work.
