BulletProof BMW

Aloha People,

My first effect clip posted here. My friend Mark let us film him using his BMW. I altered the color in FCP (I didn't use Visionlab because I'm not as familiar with it yet), and then wanted to use Axeman's Spotlight preset as light reflection from the bullet hits.

The bullet hits are a few of Axeman's Presets and most of stock footage some of it converted from the old Alam DV sparks.

Thanks to Serpent for helping me with this.

Let me know what you think.

I wanted to do it that way especially since I used Axeman's Spotlight preset (brilliant stuff) as a shortcut to making my own masks for every bullet hit.

My only two objections are the grading of the general clip and the color of the bullet hits...and I think with some smaller-sized, maybe even lower opacity bullet hit stock footage, you would've gotten a better effect.
Yeah, I will pay attention to that more next time around. I carelessly missed that. Thanks for taking the time to comment and vote.

This was really cool, especially how you made it "break-down" style. My only two objections are the grading of the general clip and the color of the bullet hits. The stage where it shows the spotlight added is awesome, and I think with some smaller-sized, maybe even lower opacity bullet hit stock footage, you would've gotten a better effect. Then again, you've already heard all this, so I'm just gonna go ahead and sum it up. I liked it, but some stuff was a little out of place. Altogether, cool little test. 3/5, it would've been 4, but the grading erked me a little too much.

That was a pretty cool short fx clip. You should keep trying at all of your available effects. I can tell they're going to be good.
Thank you for the kind words.
